Job Summary
The Electrical Project Engineer is responsible for producing and maintaining electrical drawings and associated bills of materials in support of project execution and manufacturing. This role collaborates closely with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure designs meet customer requirements, industry standards, and operational objectives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop electrical drawings in accordance with applicable industry standards and project specifications.
- Prepare, review, and release approved drawing packages and bills of materials to production.
- Revise electrical drawings based on customer feedback and resubmit for approval as required.
- Provide engineering support to production teams during assembly and wiring activities.
- Create and maintain accurate electrical bills of materials and enter data into the manufacturing database.
- Ensure designs meet the requirements of existing equipment and overall project scope.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or management.
- Support and execute company goals and objectives while actively contributing to team collaboration and project success.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a minimum of four (4) years of relevant medium-voltage experience.
Experience
- Medium-voltage electrical experience.
- Wiring and electrical system design experience.
- Electrical drafting experience.
Specialized Knowledge
- Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including:

- Electrical Code (NEC)
- Utility Electric Service Requirements (ESR)
- ANSI
- UL
- California Title 24
- State Seal process
