Job Description
Be part of one of the largest upgrades to the UK power network in decades — a transformative, high-value project that will shape the nation's energy future.\n\n We're looking for a Project Engineer to take the lead on complex technical set up and delivery of critical infrastructure in the Power sector. If you're passionate about delivering technical excellence, driving safety, and managing major infrastructure at scale, we want to hear from you.\n\n You'll provide technical construction of the civil engineering elements to enable large scale OLE infrastructure. Do you have a background in enabling works, Civil Engineering or Structures?
If the answer is yes, this could be the role for you.\n\n Key Responsibilities:\n\nProviding buildability and construction input into the detailed design completed by the Lot 1 designers\nclearing the way of all constraints to allow the new overhead lines to be built.\nInstalling all temporary works, haul roads, drainage, compounds\nManaging Utility diversions\nInstalling permanent overhead line tower foundationsEssential Skills & Experience:\n\nTrack record of delivering major infrastructure projects (Power, Electrification, Civils, Rail, Highways, Wastewater or similar)\nStrong HSE management and leadership capabilities\nDeep understanding of project delivery lifecycle – scope, schedule, cost, and quality\nEffective contractor management and construction knowledge\nQuality management expertise and attention to technical detail\nTemporary Works Knowledge\nDesign & Build experience\nDegree in Civil Engineering or similar qualification, including apprenticeship routes, and on-the-job experienceDesirable Experience:\n\nTransmission Power Projects\nNational Grid Projects experience\nGIS Mapping\nDFMA product coordinationWhy Join This Project?\n\nStability and very long-term work\nWork on one of the most significant energy upgrades in UK history\nCareer-defining opportunity with high visibility and impact\nSupportive, forward-thinking team culture\nStrong focus on safety, sustainability, and innovation\n\nThe NRL Group connect global companies with the right people to bring engineering projects to life.
