Project Engineer – automation industry

The Automation Project Engineer is accountable for providing technical automation expertise and supervision. You are the main technical automation expert within the project team to effectively implement the given products in the live terminal operations according to plan and without local business disruption. Support the team and Automation Project Managers in resolving any related challenges on a day-to-day basis.Your roleDrive the end-to-end onsite technical automation product project process: from site preparation to installation and commissioning, and from integration and live equipment testing to go-live supportDocument, deploy, and support the integration of automation products with other products, assets, and systems and you maintain a consistent project approach across all relevant sites reporting any related challenges to the Automation Project ManagersOffer support in the project process from roadmap creation to go-live and finally stable operations, defining project-specific performance criteria and ongoing feedback related to project status and technical challenges/issuesWork closely with the Automation Project Managers to continuously improve ongoing work and project approachCollect and review all relevant technical documentation from the terminal/ suppliers and follow up on or request for improvements as neededEnsure that the technical documentation is updated and available for all stakeholdersOversee technical site works conducted by suppliers and you provide support if and as needed in consultation with the Automation Project ManagerYour skillsEngineering degree / Master’s Degree in engineering, any qualification related to Automation is an advantageTravel flexibility to spend a minimum of 70% of the time on-site – must haveHigh English proficiency – working in an international teamMultidisciplinary exposure is an advantage. As project Engineer will be required to coordinate multiple disciplines that are necessary to deploy the required automation product such as Civil, IT, MechanicalProfessional expertise and deep knowledge in deploying industrial automation solutions involving hands-on control systems and instrumentation in the fieldExperience in working within transport, logistics, and distribution centers or port/ container terminals/ equipment is an advantageJob no.240510-W37TF
