Orion is working with a market leader that services several industries, such as the Aerospace, Defence, and Automotive industries, among others. They are seeking a Project Engineer to join their innovative team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, liaising with key stakeholders to ensure the successful development and delivery of products. The role of Project Engineer As a Project Engineer, you will be pivotal in bridging the gap between design, manufacturing, and customer requirements. Your expertise will help develop new products, refine existing ones, and troubleshoot issues across the production process. You will collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and production teams, as well as external customers and suppliers, to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Responsibilities of the Project Engineer Develop and realise new designs in line with customer requirements, working closely with cross-functional teams. Create tooling designs, technical drawings, and process instructions for manufacturing and inspection. Facilitate the smooth introduction of new designs into production alongside Manufacturing Engineers and Production Managers. Liaise with customers and suppliers and handle technical queries. Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective, robust solutions. Manage existing products, identify issues, and drive continuous improvement. Contribute to the technical development of new materials, manufacturing processes, and technologies within the company. Requirements of the Project Engineer Excellent communication skills with a proactive, approachable attitude Methodical problem-solving approach with strong attention to detail. Flexible, eager to learn new skills, and adaptable to changing priorities. Hands-on technical expertise with an understanding of commercial considerations.
