ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Develop workplans and approach

• Perform Take-off efforts for assigned portions of the estimate

• An understanding of Contract documents and associated requirements for; change orders, requests for compensation, and time extensions

• Writing and managing RFIs and Submittals

• Powerful verbal and written communication skills or desire to develop

• Managing costs; including tracking quantities and cost for production operations and materials

• Ability to interpret schedule with/without scheduler depending on project size and scope

• Coordination with project superintendentsregardingschedule and resources including people, equipment, materials, subcontractors, suppliers, etc.

• Responsible foroverseeingand contributingtoselected scope(s) oflarge-scaleconstructioninfrastructure projects

• Ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and according to safety and engineering standards

• Managing the review of shop drawings, calculations and design documents to identify potential issues and propose solutions

• Coordinate with owner representatives on changes and billings

• Site surveying, quality control, and coordinating with subcontractors on the project site

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferably in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or similar; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3 to 7 years with field experience with exposure to estimating responsibilities
• Proficient in Bluebeam, Excel, Word
• Must have ability to travel ifrequired

• A Drivers License in good standing is required

• Excellent communication skills are with the ability to listen, engage, and influence.

• OSHA 10/ OSHA 30
• OPC/P6

• Passion and enthusiasm for transit projects and heavy civil construction

• Desire to learn and participate in company provided training to develop skills and grow your career
