DEA’s
Energy Business Unit
is currently hiring an
Advanced Power Systems Engineer
to join our team. The responsibilities include working closely with project engineers and project managers on multidisciplinary project teams, providing analysis and technical expertise. The role involves performing various advanced power system studies to support our renewable energy clients.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Performing advanced engineering power system studies using software such as ETAP, EasyPower, PSLF, PSS/E, CYMCAP, PSCAD, CDEGS, EMPT, and others.
Preparing project deliverables including data requests, study results, technical reports, engineering drawings updates, correspondence, and project documentation.
Collaborating with other engineering disciplines, assessing impacts of design changes, and fostering effective communication between disciplines.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college
3+ years experience in power system design and analysis
Ability to write clear, concise technical reports
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
7+ years of experience in advanced power systems using ETAP and EZPower
Professional Engineering License (PE)
Experience as an electrical consultant and managing projects
Experience writing technical papers or reports
