Vierbicher is a team of professional engineers, planners, community development specialists, land surveyors and GIS specialists who provide comprehensive solutions for a wide range of projects. Our goal is to provide clients with creative consulting services and quality products, enabling them to efficiently and effectively meet their goals. We work to build strong relationships with our clients that promote trust, cooperation and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

1.Assists with preparation of scope of services for design work.

2.Evaluates design and cost proposals submitted by consultants.

3.Makes technical reviews and providers recommendations regarding design work.

4.Assists with establishing design and construction schedules.

5.Develops site and infrastructure design including street plans (plan & profile, cross sections, etc.), grading and erosion control plans, storm water management facilities, sanitary sewer systems, water distribution systems and storm sewer systems while use AutoCAD Civil 3D.

6.Calculates quantity take-offs and cost estimates.

7.Assists with the preparation of specifications.

8.Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices and policies.

9.Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1.Excellent written and verbal communication skills

2.Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other civil engineering design tools

3.Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.

4.Ability to work with internal and external project team members

5.Excellent time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.

6.Ability to work well independently or on a team

7.Knowledge of construction activities

Education and Experience

1.Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required

2.Previous or co-op experience in the civil industry is

3.4 + years of civil engineering experience is

License or Certification Requirements

1.Professional Engineer License (PE) for the State of Wisconsin is

Physical Requirements

1.This position requires sitting at a desk and working at a computer for long period of time

2.Some work may include field work

3.This position requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds

PPE Requirements

1. Hi-Visibility clothing should be worn on job sites and in the field as necessary
