This role is essential in supporting the successful planning, execution, and completion of construction projects.


Position Overview:

As a Project Engineer, you will collaborate with the project management team to ensure the smooth operation of construction projects. This role involves a combination of technical expertise, project coordination, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in engineering or construction management, as well as a keen interest in contributing to the success of diverse construction projects.


Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring alignment with project milestones and deadlines.
  • Coordinate project activities, including procurement, subcontractor management, and material deliveries.

Design and Engineering Support:

  • Work closely with design teams and architects to review plans and specifications.
  • Provide engineering support and insights during the project planning and execution phases.

Document Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders.
  • Organize and track project-related correspondence and communications.

Quality Control:

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining quality control measures on construction sites.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.

Cost Estimation and Budgeting:

  • Support the project management team in cost estimation and budget development.
  • Monitor project costs and expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings.

Subcontractor and Vendor Coordination:

  • Assist in the coordination of subcontractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to project schedules and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with subcontractors and vendors to address issues and facilitate collaboration.

Safety Compliance:

  • Enforce and promote a strong safety culture on construction sites.
  • Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience or internships in a project engineering or construction-related role is a plus.
  • Estimating experience a plus.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
