Project Engineer
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Project Engineer - Rail Lineside Civils to join our dynamic Transpire team at Manchester. On-site working role, 37.5 hrs per week.
In this role, you will work alongside the Senior Engineers and the Project Manager to provide technical advice, plan, organise and supervise Rail lineside Civils construction projects.
This role offers you the unique opportunity to work on one of the biggest contracts awarded by Network Rail, within the UK Rail industry.
What You'll Do:
Check technical designs and drawings for accuracy and to ensure that they are followed correctly.
Set out sites.
Provide technical advice and solving problems on site.
Prepare site reports and logging progress.
Compile as built information and surveys, assisting in handing back this information to designers on completion of work package.
Prepare and compiling quality assurance information and documentation, assisting in the submission to hand back team on completion of work package
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, designers and the overall project manager. Why Join Us?

Civils/Rail Degree, HND/HNC in Engineering or equivalent experience in lieu
PTS
OLEC1, SSSTS/SMSTS - Pref
Site experience as Site Engineer, Apprentice Engineer or similar in a rail engineering construction site environment
Interpretation of engineering drawings and technical guidance
Understanding and interpreting of applicable Network Rail standards
Supervisory experience of small teams and sections of work - Pref
Use of GPS and total stations and other relevant surveying instrumentation
