ROLE: Project Engineer - Recycling Facility Construction
HOURS: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
SALARY: up to £50,000 per annum, Fixed Term Contract (for project duration)

We are delighted to be recruiting a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to support the design, construction, and commissioning of a new state-of-the-art recycling manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating engineering activities, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and delivering the project on time and within budget.
WHAT OUR PROJECT ENGINEER WILL DO:
Manage the lifecycle of key strategic projects
Co-ordinate all project aspects from budget, plans, schedules, and processes
Assist in the planning, design, and execution of a facility construction project
Co-ordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams
Monitor project progress and report on milestones, risks, and issues
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Support procurement of equipment and materials
Oversee installation and commissioning of machinery and systems
Maintain project documentation and technical records
WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR PROJECT ENGINEERS:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering (or related field)
3+ years of experience within industrial or manufacturing construction projects
Knowledge of recycling processes or environmental engineering is a plus
Proficiency in project management tools and CAD software
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Previous experience with sustainability-focused projects could be an advantage
Familiarity with regulatory requirements for waste management and recycling could be an advantage
PMP or PRINCE2 certification
