Project Engineer

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAn established and growth-focused general contractor is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support large-scale commercial construction projects ranging from $30M to $80M. This individual will assist in managing day-to-day project operations and serve as a resource for project leadership throughout all phases from preconstruction through closeout.This is a great opportunity for a construction professional looking to step into a leadership-track role with long-term career development potential.
ResponsibilitiesPreconstruction Support

• Assist with constructability reviews, value engineering, estimating, and schedule development
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals and support procurement activities

Project Coordination

• Organize and maintain contract documents, submittals, RFIs, and procurement logs
• Support project scheduling in coordination with the superintendent and project manager
• Maintain all required logs and project documentation per company protocols
• Collaborate in the coordination of BIM/MEP systems and as-built drawing documentation
• Assist with risk management, QA/QC processes, and change management tracking

Document & Information Management

• Ensure jobsite drawings, specifications, and reports are up to date and easily accessible
• Help facilitate proper flow of project information between all stakeholders

Project Closeout

• Assist in assembling closeout packages, final submittals, and documentation as required

Other Duties

• Provide general support to the project team as needed throughout the construction lifecycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in commercial construction
• Strong understanding of document control, scheduling, submittals, and construction workflows
• Experience working on DSA or public works projects is a plus
• Familiarity with projects ranging from $30M–$80M
• Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
