Key Responsibilities
\n
Mold Design & Engineering
\n
- \n
- Full Tool Design: Translate part models and product requirements into complete, production-ready 2D/3D mold designs in SolidWorks (core/cavity, gating, runners, hot/cold manifolds, cooling, ejection, slides/lifters, and venting).
- Manufacturability & Analysis: Conduct parting line development, draft analysis, shrinkage/warpage allowances, steel-safe strategies, DFM/DFMEA, and Moldflow/pre-simulation reviews to optimize gate placement, filling, and cooling.
- Component Selection & Specs: Select mold bases, materials/steels (H13, P20, S7, stainless), standard components, surface finishes, and tight tolerances.
- Documentation: Generate comprehensive 2D detailing, component drawings, and BOMs for machining, EDM, and assembly. Manage ECOs and revision history.
