Summary
We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to support ongoing construction efforts across Public Works and HCAI/OSHPD-regulated projects. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and motivated professional looking to grow within the construction industry. You will assist in daily operations, communication, and documentation across all phases of project execution while gaining hands-on experience with healthcare and public agency construction.
Main Responsibilities

Support project safety programs, including conducting safety meetings and ensuring jobsite compliance.

Assist with the development, maintenance, and execution of project punch lists.

Participate in QA/QC processes by adhering to established protocols and tracking compliance.

Manage and track RFIs and submittals.

Monitor labor hours and support labor reporting activities.

Perform quantity takeoffs for materials and assist with procurement.

Contribute to project schedule development and maintenance.

Coordinate and track warranty and O&M documentation for closeout.

Assist with purchase orders, invoicing, and material coordination for ongoing site needs.

Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely project delivery.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field ().

Equivalent work experience will also be considered.

Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience supporting Public Works or HCAI/OSHPD projects.

Experience with healthcare, hospital, or public agency construction is highly desirable.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

Familiarity with construction management software (Procore, MS Project, Sage, or similar).

Ability to interpret project drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
