Position Overview
We are actively seeking a Project Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Public Works or OSHPD/HCAI-regulated construction projects. This role supports the project management team through coordination, documentation, and regulatory compliance to help ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with planning, scheduling, and managing projects in compliance with Public Works or OSHPD/HCAI guidelines.

Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and government agencies to meet project requirements.

Review project documents including drawings, specifications, and contracts for accuracy and compliance.

Manage and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and maintain project documentation.

Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHPD/HCAI regulations or Public Works standards.

Oversee job site safety, quality assurance, and project timelines.

Track budgets, assist with cost estimation, and support financial forecasting.

Provide technical solutions to construction-related challenges.

Maintain effective communication with clients, inspectors, and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field ().

3+ years of relevant experience, with a focus on Public Works or OSHPD/HCAI-regulated construction projects.

Strong knowledge of state and federal building codes and permitting processes.

Familiarity with construction documents, contract requirements, and specifications.

Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, and other project management tools.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Qualifications

Experience with California Public Works projects and prevailing wage compliance.

Familiarity with OSHPD 1, 2, and 3 classifications and healthcare construction.

OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
