Position Overview
We are actively seeking a Project Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Public Works or OSHPD/HCAI-regulated construction projects. This role supports the project management team through coordination, documentation, and regulatory compliance to help ensure timely and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and managing projects in compliance with Public Works or OSHPD/HCAI guidelines.

  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and government agencies to meet project requirements.

  • Review project documents including drawings, specifications, and contracts for accuracy and compliance.

  • Manage and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and maintain project documentation.

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHPD/HCAI regulations or Public Works standards.

  • Oversee job site safety, quality assurance, and project timelines.

  • Track budgets, assist with cost estimation, and support financial forecasting.

  • Provide technical solutions to construction-related challenges.

  • Maintain effective communication with clients, inspectors, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field ().

  • 3+ years of relevant experience, with a focus on Public Works or OSHPD/HCAI-regulated construction projects.

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal building codes and permitting processes.

  • Familiarity with construction documents, contract requirements, and specifications.

  • Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, and other project management tools.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience with California Public Works projects and prevailing wage compliance.

  • Familiarity with OSHPD 1, 2, and 3 classifications and healthcare construction.

  • OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
