Project Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the team at our HQ on the Advanced Manufacturing Park in Sheffield.
Role Purpose:
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will support the Lead Engineers and wider project teams ensure innovative, industry leading projects are completed on time and within budget. Collaborating with stakeholders and members of the wider project team, you will develop briefs, maintain a timeline of key tasks, risk registers and oversee progress to make sure key milestones are met on time. You will help to track budgets, dates, and other information, as well as coordinating and attending meetings and representing the Iceotope team in customer meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Product owners to develop a comprehensive project brief and specification.
- Work across a multi-disciplined engineering team.
- Identify resource requirements.
- Develop and maintain a timeline of key tasks
- Develop and maintain risk registers (RAID) and escalate where necessary
- Develop and track project budget with the purchasing department
- Work closely with the purchasing team to ensure any purchased parts are delivered on time.
- Track time spent on the projects
- Maintain project documentation.
Skills, Experience & Attributes:
- Ideally you'll have progressed to Project Engineer from an Engineering background preferably Design/Electrical/Electronics /IT
- 3+ years of experience in delivering projects
- Knowledge of project management software preferably SAP or Wrike
- Effective communication, to contribute pro-actively and collaboratively on stakeholder meetings, external or internal.
- Experience in focusing resource to priority areas to achieve desired results.
- Negotiation skills, working with collaborating parties if there are delays on the project or with suppliers
- Scheduling and Time Management, to anticipate roadblocks before they occur
- Experience in motivating the project team, and deliver a positive outcome to the projects.
- Risk Management skills, to identify and mitigate.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Analytical, Logical and objective with good problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work as part of a team and with people across the business
- Able to respond to a fluctuating workload and changing priorities.
- A positive outlook and highly motivated.
- General presentation skills should be excellent including communication through Teams with remote workers.
- Ability to work with high degree of autonomy.
