Project Director - Developer - Central London £130-160,000 + package
Job Description
Our client is an international developer and HNWI who is seeking a Senior Project Manager/ Project Director to lead the Development and Delivery of a significant new Multistorey tower in the City of London.
You will be leading and adding to a small inhouse team including cost control and engineering.
The tower has planning in place but is making amendments from mixed use to solely commercial, with the aim of starting construction in the next 6 months. You will initially support the planning and design process, and as the project moves forward assist with engaging relevant consultants and contractors for delivery. You will need to have managed the delivery of a similar £100M+ High-rise project in Central London previously.
Leading the operational team to deliver the 30+ Multistorey project from planning throughout the construction and delivery phase reporting to the Managing Director.
You are joining at the start of their first UK project, with others already in the pipeline. You will have significant experience delivering High-rise Commercial (and/or mixed use) projects across the full spectrum of development. You will understand the key specialisms required in relation to large scale commercial High-rise in the London through the design, planning and delivery phase.
You will:
- Have experience of project management working for a commercial, student or hotel Developer, Contractor or Professional organisation with the ability to manage all aspects of a project from planning through the build phase to practical completion.
- Manage teams and programming whilst driving and delivering projects.
- Have experience of dealing with local authorities and knowledge of the planning system.
- Take responsibility for the projects department, establishing procedures, programmes and all site-specific safety regulations and requirements.
- Oversee design, planning and construction of all schemes across the UK.
- Understand development appraisals, viability and effective financial management of a project.
- Have an understanding of design principles in line with the business strategy.
- Assist in the preparation of business plans, budgets, delivery programmes and process reporting.
- Have an understanding of the Net Zero London Plan, Sustainability and BREEAM
- Produce monthly reporting on projects.
- Manage the project team including, Consultant teams and Contractors.
- Managing critical relationships with partners, stakeholders, design and construction teams.
In addition, you will need:
- Strong proven experience in a similar role, including significant high-rise in Central London.
- Ideally be degree qualified and chartered.
- High levels of business acumen, including a clear grasp of financial models, costing and budgets, along with the know-how to assess and manage risk.
- Excellent communication, influencing and relationship management skills, backed by a good degree of personal credibility, stature and gravitas.
