So, if that resonates with you and you want to love our customers as we do then come join a team of like-minded people.\n\nWhat good looks like:\n\nSeamless: You'll provide high quality solutions to our customers\nSpecialist: You'll be skilled in your area, be an expert in a number of Dale processes and be commercially smart.\nCollaborative: You'll advise your colleagues and input into other work and be able to work independently to get the job done.What you'll do:\n\nUnderstand and translate the client requirements for DC battery renewal/upgrade project works into fully costed technical solutions, generally comprising a commercial offer, technical specification and equipment data sheets with estimated site installation durations.\nUndertake detailed site surveys of all relevant DC equipment at customer sites to support the optioneering and tendering activities.\nPrepare and submit comprehensive site visit reports, including findings and recommendations from the site surveys.\nUse all available information to investigate and recommend best practice / spec compliant DC equipment renewal/upgrade solutions.\nAttend client meetings both at site and via teams.\nProduce RFQ's for sub-contract resources and manage through to costed proposals for in PMU & technical handover documentation.\nProduce a cost make up/price make up (CMU / PMU) to reflect the client/contract requirements.\nProduce supporting documentation as required by Grid for contractual handover.\nSupport the Grid Project team in the successful negotiations with the client, to agree acceptable pricing, technical details, commercial terms and conditions and technical content within the business guidelines and at optimised project profitability.\nCommunicate effectively to hand over successful project orders to the Project, Engineering, Manufacturing and Installation teams.\nProvide technical support to the Project team throughout the delivery of the project to bring successful conclusion in accordance with the project requirements, including any scope fluctuations and to maximise the profitability.\nUndertake other tasks as requested by the Grid Project Manager.Person specification:\n\nQualifications & Experience;\n\nGraduate, HNC/HND, or equivalent, in a suitable engineering discipline.\nWorking knowledge of health and safety general practices including CDM regulations and responsibilities.\nExperience in developing high value projects, particularly in the power industry.\nCommercial awareness.\nHigh level of IT literacy and experience with spread sheets and word processing.Please click on the APPLY button to send your CV for this role.\n\nCandidates with the relevant experience or job titles of: Project Engineer, Design Engineer, Product Engineer, Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Engineering Project Manager, will also be considered for this role
