Job Description

Project Viability & Development Analysis

Analyze key elements essential to project viability, including:

Prospecting and identification of fossil and renewable energy project opportunities
Environmental considerations associated with site fauna and flora
Permit requirements at the municipal, state, and federal levels
Comparison of technologies and matching gas turbines, modules, and other equipment to site-specific and customer requirements
Solar resource and site capacity analysis (where applicable)
Legal agreements with public and private landowners
Layout planning for production equipment, roads, and collector networks
Transmission analysis and leading interconnection applications with utilities, RTOs, and ISOs
Negotiation of power purchase agreements (PPAs) and fuel supply strategies
Bidding & Proposal Management

Analyze RFPs
Lead and coordinate preparation and submission of bids
Project Planning & Execution

Develop timelines to monitor project progress
Develop, analyze, and ensure compliance with project budgets
Support advancement of projects through development milestones
Collaboration & Communication

Work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
Communicate with stakeholders, contractors, and internal project teams

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Developer - Power should have:

Degree in Business, Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, etc.), or a related field
MBA is highly desirable
2-4 years of experience in project development, engineering, or project management within the energy sector
Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player
Strong attention to detail and rigor in task execution
Curiosity and willingness to learn in a rapidly evolving sector
Demonstrated intellectual rigor and critical thinking
Ability and willingness to travel to project sites
Familiarity with the use of AI tools
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Project)
Experience with GIS or mapping software
