Project Developer - Distributed Generation Solar

Overview:
We are seeking a Junior Project Developer with 2-5 years of experience in distributed generation (DG) solar projects. This role supports project development from early-stage origination through pre-construction, working closely with senior developers, engineering, permitting, and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with site identification, screening, and feasibility assessments for DG solar projects.

• Support permitting, interconnection, and regulatory approval processes.

• Coordinate with landowners, utilities, consultants, and local authorities.

• Prepare project documentation, financial models, and presentation materials.

• Track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure milestones are met.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance projects to notice-to-proceed.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of project development experience in distributed generation solar.

• Familiarity with interconnection processes, permitting, and land use considerations.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); GIS experience is a plus.

• Bachelor's degree in renewable energy, engineering, business, or related field preferred.
