Project Design Manager

The Opportunity\n They’re now looking for a Design Manager to join the team and take the lead on project engineering and coordinating the design process across a range of live projects. This role would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on with technical details and comfortable working closely with delivery and commercial colleagues to keep everything on track.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\n\nManaging the design process from concept through to completion across multiple live projects\nCoordinating architects, engineers, and specialist consultants to ensure design information is accurate, timely, and buildable\nReviewing drawings, resolving design queries, and ensuring compliance with building regs and project specs\nSupporting planning and technical submissions, and working closely with commercial and pre-construction teams\nIdentifying risks, clashes, and value engineering opportunities early on to avoid delays and cost issues later\nAttending project meetings and being a key point of contact for all things design\nReporting to senior management on design progress, timelines, and any challenges on the horizonWhat We’re Looking For\n\nSolid experience in a similar designer/ design management role – either for a main contractor or architectural practice background \nExperience across relevant sectors such as commercial, education, healthcare or social housing \nGood working knowledge of current building regulations, design standards, and coordination best practice\nComfortable working with Revit, AutoCAD and BIM workflows\nConfident communicator who can build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders\nOrganised, detail-driven, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities at onceWhat’s on Offer\n\nA secure role within a growing contractor with a strong order book\nA wide range of projects to get stuck into – from community spaces and schools to housing and heritage works\nA collaborative working culture where your input is genuinely valued\nCompetitive salary and package
