The Team of JCDecaux Germany in Hamburg, leads the installation, maintenance, relocation, and poster installing across more than 2,200 bus shelters, over 900 City Information Panels and 70 City Light Boards. Every year, numerous street furniture units are dismantled and reinstalled due to public infrastructure maintenance works in the city of Hamburg. (new bike lanes, pipeline replacements, and other renovation works).
To expand the JCDecaux Team in Hamburg and deal with all processes concerning construction sites we are looking for a Project Coordinator for a minimum period of 18 months staring in March 2026
Missions:
The Project Coordinator is:
- An intermediary between office and construction site work.
- A contact person for projects concerning construction sites.
Tasks to be taken care of:
- Ensure the constructability of bus shelters, city light boards and city light posters.
- Preventing challenges associated with construction.
- Weekly construction report with the public transport company Hamburger Hochbahn AG.
- Coordination of the local construction team.
- Attend meetings focused on preparing and inspecting construction sites.
- Reading and understanding technical drawings and city plans.
- Preparation of construction documents.
- Assignment, coordination and supervision of sub-contractors.
- Communication with city-authorities.
- Support of the administration processes (in-house software).
- Strategically manage the budget allocated for construction and maintenance activities.
Profile
Degree in City Planning, Urban Development, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Solid German skills are necessary.
English is a plus.
Driving license.
To become a candidate for a V.I.E assignment, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be over 18 and under 28 on the date you submit your application
- Be a French or a of a European Economic Area (EEA) country
- Be in good standing regarding service obligations in the country of which you are a .
- Have no criminal record
- Be able to devote yourself 100% to the assignment: no part-time work, entrepreneurship, studies or paid activity is possible alongside your V.I.E
