JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Project Coordinator to help facilitate the transportation, coordination, and custom freight of our company. You will be the one to assist in coordinating processes to achieve effective strategy for all modes of transportation.

A great asset for the Project Coordinator will be their communication and negotiation skills. The ideal candidate will have great record-keeping abilities, organization, critical thinking to get to the solution and a customer-oriented approach.

 

This position will primarily focus on transportation, ensuring efficient logistics, coordination, and execution of transportation-related operations

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Ensure timely communication with carriers/drivers and internal team members.

  • Utilize proprietary load board to optimize cost and efficiency.

  • Supervise load requests and arrange proper asset needs and equipment to ensure they meet customer specifications.

  • Plan and track the shipment of products according to customer requirements.

  • Communicate and escalate issues as they arise.

  • Ensure DOT/Permit/Import-Export requirements are followed.

  • Keep logs and records through TMS and transportation log to serve the overall program.

Requirements and skills:

 

  • BS/BA in business administration, supply chain management or relevant field or 4 years’ experience in similar field

  • Take full ownership of ensuring Customer Critical Products are efficiently loaded, transported, stored, and shipped to their Project Sites

  • Assist the Project Manager in the support and management of accounts

  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and DOT compliance

  • Knowledge of open trailer and over-the-road freight

  • Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes.

  • Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software

  • Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience in customer service will be appreciated

  • Must pass a Pre-Employment Microsoft Excel Test.

  • Certifications such as CSCP, CLTD, or CPSM are helpful but not required.
