Overview
CTG is seeking to fill a Project Controls Professional I opening for our client in Richland, WA.
Location: Richland, WA
Duration: 12 months
Duties:
-
Support Capital and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) projects by providing independent oversight within the Corporate Finance organization.

Assist with project monitoring, risk identification, and accurate costing.

Coordinate, track, and execute project estimates and schedules.
-
Provide technical guidance and support to project managers in developing project scope, detailed schedules, and cost estimates.

Monitor and report on schedule, scope, and cost changes to project managers and plant management promptly.

Prepare detailed project implementation schedules using Primavera P6 (levels 1-4).

Integrate project cost estimates and schedules to create logic-tied, resource-loaded cost flow projections.

Analyze schedule deviations and recommend corrective actions to mitigate cost/schedule overruns.

Evaluate real-time project cost data and develop accurate Estimates to Completion (ETC).

Track budget changes and communicate budget impacts to Corporate Finance.

Update baseline schedules following approvals from project governance committees.

Process journal entries related to project accounting and cost transfers.

Perform data entry and consistency reviews in project management systems.

Attend project meetings and provide recommendations for improving project control processes.
Skills:
-
Proficient in Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology and project controls principles.
-
Strong analytical, mathematical, and variance analysis skills.
-
Experienced in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint).
-
Well-developed organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, including presentation abilities.

Detail-oriented with excellent time management and administrative capabilities.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-
Strong keyboarding, data checking, and documentation skills.
Experience:
-
Minimum 4 years in project controls/project management within an industrial environment with a Bachelor’s degree, OR
-
6 years with an Associate degree, OR
-
8 years with a High School diploma or GED in lieu of degree.
-
Formal Primavera P6 training required.
-
Experience supporting large projects with budgets of $25M+ .
-
Knowledge of project reporting, cost analysis, and project management principles.

Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Asset Suite, Workday Adaptive Planning, or Workday is a plus.
-
Utility industry experience and familiarity with nuclear plant operations (BWR experience ) is desirable.
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university ;
-
Associate degree or High School diploma/GED acceptable with relevant experience.

Earned Value Management certification (PMP, PBA, SP, CAPM, or RMP) highly desired.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $52.00/hour to $71.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
