Job Description
Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a number of fantastic assistant project controls opportunities based in London 2 days per week. \n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are looking for motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Controls Consultants to support the delivery of planning and controls services across a range of major programmes. \nThis role offers exposure to all key areas of project controls, including scheduling, cost, risk, change management, and reporting.
You'll work alongside experienced consultants and client teams, contributing to project delivery while building your expertise across the full project lifecycle.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAssist in the development and maintenance of project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or Asta Powerproject\n\nSupport schedule updates, progress tracking, and performance reporting\n\nContribute to cost and earned value reporting\n\nHelp maintain risk registers and support schedule risk assessments\n\nAssist in change management tracking and baseline impact analysis\n\nSupport the creation of dashboards and visual reports using Power BI\n\nWork with project teams to collect and interpret data to support informed decision-making\n\nAbout You\n\n2-4 years of experience in planning or project controls roles within infrastructure or engineering projects\n\nStrong working knowledge of Primavera P6; familiarity with MS Project or Asta Powerproject is a plus\n\nExposure to other controls functions such as cost, risk, or change control is advantageous\n\nCompetent in handling data and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, schedule analytics)\n\nStrong communication, analytical, and organisational skills\n\nProactive mindset and interest in developing a career in project controls\n\nWhat's on Offer\n\nInvolvement in high-profile infrastructure and engineering programmes\n\nTraining and development opportunities across planning and project controls disciplines\n\nSupportive team environment with opportunities for progression\n\nFlexible and hybrid working arrangements\nCompetitive salary and benefits package\n\nFor more information on this role or to register your interest for future job updates, please visit \n\nWhy We're Different: Westlakes Recruit are a people solutions business that understands the complexities of nuclear and the importance of our clients' mission critical objectives.\n\nSmarter, faster, more agile - we have a laser focus on nuclear, with deep sectoral knowledge.\n\nWe develop nuclear talent pools before you know you need them!
