Salary: £50,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience)

Due to sustained growth, we are seeking an experienced Contracts/ Project Manager with expertise in Passive Fire Protection to oversee and deliver nationwide fire door surveying.

Role Overview:
As a Project/ Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of passive fire protection surveying – including firestopping, compartmentation, and fire door surveys. You will ensure quality standards, health & safety compliance, and client satisfaction, managing teams on-site while maintaining third-party accreditations (FIRAS, BM TRADA).
This role requires hands-on knowledge of passive fire systems and strong leadership skills to manage site teams and liaise effectively with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-end project management of Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) remedial works
Conducting site surveys, taking measurements, and preparing job-specific quotations
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, tenants, and representatives
Creating and managing weekly work schedules; allocating jobs to operatives
Supervising operatives on-site, including conducting monthly audits (PPE, tools, site condition)
Reporting and recording near misses, incidents, and raising NCRs as needed
Monthly inspection of fire doors (visual and intrusive) in residential and commercial settings
Providing detailed surveys and recommendations for door upgrades and compartmentation works
Ensuring compliance with all third-party certification and Health & Safety standardsCandidate Profile:
Essential:
Proven contracts/ project management experience in passive fire protection surveying (firestopping, joinery, or compartmentation)
Experience working with a certified passive fire contractor
Strong understanding of fire safety regulations and third-party schemes (e.g. FIRAS, BM TRADA)
Skilled in managing multiple sites and teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Full UK Driving Licence and flexibility for nationwide travelDesirable:
Recognised industry qualifications (e.g. SMSTS, SSSTS, NVQ in Passive Fire Protection)
Holding or working towards third-party accreditations (FIRAS, BM TRADA, or equivalent)
