Project Architect – Licensed

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Architect to join a dynamic, midsized architecture firm. The ideal candidate will be a licensed architect with some project management skills and a passion for delivering thoughtful, accurate, high-quality designs. This role offers the opportunity to lead commercial architecture design projects from concept through completion, while collaborating closely with both clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects from schematic design through construction administration
• Develop design concepts, plans, elevations, and technical documents that meet client goals and regulatory requirements
• Facilitate coordination across multidisciplinary teams, including consultants and contractors
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables efficiently
• Review and ensure compliance with building codes, zoning laws, and accessibility standards
• Oversee and mentor team members, providing guidance and quality assurance
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project reviews
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and quality

Qualifications

• Current architectural license required (NCARB certification )
• 5–20 years of professional architectural experience, project leadership roles a plus
• Proficiency in Revit; familiarity with visualization tools such as SketchUp or Lumion a plus
• Strong understanding of building systems, technical detailing, and construction methods
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail
• Experience with midsized firm workflows and client relationship management is a plus
