Location: Sheffield. Hybrid, 3 days onsite

Rate: up to £465.52 p/d Umbrella inside IR35

Role purpose / summary
\n
\n
Own delivery and governance for cross-control initiatives and coordinate BAU across Control Operations. Ensure "no surprises" execution, timely escalation, and leadership-ready reporting.
\n

Core responsibilities
\n
\n
- \n
- Front door for cross-control initiatives: intake/triage, define scope and plan, coordinate deliverables and dependencies, maintain RAID/trackers, run governance cadence, escalate blockers early with facts/options, provide timely status reporting.
- BAU coordination across the team: resource/capacity planning and cover, budget tracking/forecasting support, coordination and submission of packs/materials/metrics, improve ways of working (templates, reporting, governance hygiene).
- Stakeholder management: align partners across controls/risk/audit/ops/tech, land decisions, resolve day-to-day friction, provide concise comms.
- LT support & cover: act as an extension of LT (OIC when required), produce decision-ready updates with clear narrative and recommendations.
- Build bench strength: delegate, coach GCB5/6, create cross-cover and repeatable processes.
- GCB4 capabilities (bar)
- End-to-end ownership delivers outcomes from plan to closure; exceeds by leading across boundaries as default owner.
- "No surprises" risk leadership: early escalation + accurate metrics; exceeds by anticipating risk and improving control hygiene.
- Decision-driving influence: aligns stakeholders and lands decisions; exceeds by unblocking contentious topics across pods.
- Strategic prioritisation: makes sensible trade-offs; exceeds by shaping priorities and simplifying complexity for LT.
- LT support & cover: reliable OIC and LT-ready packs; exceeds by reducing LT involvement via crisp options/recommendations.
- Builds capability: coaches and creates cover; exceeds by developing successors and scalable ways of working.

Experience/skills (minimum)
\n

- Proven programme/project management in a regulated/controls/operations environment.
- Strong governance discipline (RAID, reporting cadence, action tracking to closure).
- Confident stakeholder management and concise written/verbal communication for senior audiences.
- Solid planning and budget/resource tracking capability (as applicable).
