From new bus interchanges and tram extensions to electrification and active travel schemes, we’re building the future of transport, right here, right now!\n\nYour Role\n\nAs a Programme Assurance Officer in our Audit, Risk and Assurance Team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects across Greater Manchester.\n\nYou’ll work independently and collaboratively to provide high-quality assurance services to our Executive Team, engaging with Project and Programme Managers, technical experts, and senior stakeholders.

We provide independent assurance to TfGM’s Executive and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, helping to ensure the organisation has strong foundations to successfully deliver a large, complex, and technically diverse portfolio of capital and revenue projects.\n\nWe undertake assurance activities across our extensive portfolio of projects and programmes covering a significant number of areas within the different modes of transport infrastructure throughout Greater Manchester including Bus infrastructure, Metrolink, Rail, Electrification, Interchanges, Zero Emissions, Clean Air, Active Travel and Business Change – just to name a few!\n\nWe’re proud to support projects that make a real difference to people’s lives, ensuring they’re delivered on time, within budget, and with the customer at the heart of everything we do.\n\nWhat you’ll bring\n\nWhat you do and how you do it is important – whatever type of role you work in at TfGM – and even small behaviours and actions can have a really big impact. At TfGM, our behaviours bring to life our values of Deliver, Care and Adapt.\n\nWe’re looking for a versatile and experienced project professional with a strong background in construction related infrastructure delivery.\n\nTo thrive in this role, you’ll bring:\n\n * Solid experience across the full lifecycle of infrastructure construction projects, ideally within transport or public sector capital programmes\n\n * Strong knowledge of project and programme management tools and methodologies\n\n * A keen eye for detail, with the ability to identify risks and opportunities and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations\n\n * Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels\n\n * The ability to work independently and collaboratively, using your initiative to deliver high-quality assurance services\n\nYou’ll be comfortable working across a diverse portfolio and engaging with a wide range of professionals, from Project Managers and Technical Experts to Sponsors and Senior Responsible Owners.\n\nWhat we can offer you\n\nThis is a permanent role with a salary of £47,539 - £52,866 depending on skills and experience.\n\nAt TfGM we encourage candidates to discuss flexible working options at any stage of the recruitment process.
