Job Title: Programmable Lighting & Electrical Systems Specialist
Location: Fayetteville, NC (Travel Required)
About the Role: Join our team as a Programmable Lighting & Electrical Systems Specialist, where you'll blend hands-on electrical expertise with advanced lighting controls and building automation integration. This entry-level to mid-career role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in commercial electrical systems and a passion for smart building technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Survey, assess, and document commercial building electrical systems for lighting and automation integration.
- Install, program, and troubleshoot programmable lighting systems (DMX512, LED, networked controls).
- Integrate lighting controls with Building Automation/Management Systems (BAS/BMS), focusing on AerisTech Syncromesh and other IoT platforms.
- Ensure all work meets NEC, OSHA, and local commercial electrical standards.
- Collaborate with project teams, vendors, and clients; support project management and leadership tasks as needed.
- Travel to client sites across the region (per diem and mileage reimbursed).
Required Qualifications:
- Community college trade program certificate or Associate's degree in Electrical Systems Technology or related field.
- 1-3 years' experience in commercial electrical work (lighting, controls, or automation ).
- Strong working knowledge of NEC, commercial wiring, and electrical safety protocols.
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and building plans.
- Familiarity with BAS/BMS integration and protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.) is a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel as project needs dictate.
Skills:
- Experience with IoT building platforms.
- Programming/configuration of lighting control systems (DMX512, PLCs, networked controls).
- OSHA 10/30 certification, CLCP, or BAS technician credentials.
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
- Interest in project leadership and professional growth.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary (negotiable) beginning at $45,000 based on experience and certifications.
