Program / Office Manager
Overview
Maintain overall responsibility for the office operations of Empowered Tutoring, including bookkeeping, purchasing, HR, scheduling, and other administrative duties as necessary.

Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping
· Payroll for team employees and independent contractor employees every two weeks
· Enter and pay bills monthly
· Reconcile checkbook
· Enter all transactions into QuickBooks
Human Resources
· Create position descriptions / job ads for new independent contractor employees
· / interview / hire new independent contractor employees
· Process necessary paperwork / files for independent contractor employees
· Handle complaints / issues / comments from independent contractor employees
Scheduling / Logistics
· Mange tutoring schedules of all independent contractor employees on a daily basis, including schedule changes / illnesses, etc.
· Coordinate with collaboration partners on a weekly basis to arrange independent contractor employee tutors at multiple sites
· Coordinate with parents of individual students to coordinate tutors, meeting locations, etc.
Purchasing
· Purchase office supplies, educational resources and marketing materials
Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.
· Education: Bachelor’s degree
· Experience: Three to five years of Office Manager / Program Manager experience or equivalent
· For-profit experience a plus
Skills / Knowledge of:
· Bookkeeping skills including accounts payable / receivable, etc.
· Computer applications related to work including strong skills in QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and email
· Record keeping principles and practices and strong communication skills including spelling, grammar and punctuation
Ability to:
· Communicate exceptionally well orally, in writing and over the telephone
· Demonstrate strong short- and long-term planning skills
· Prepare clear and concise reports, correspondence and other written materials
· Use initiative and independent judgement, organize own work, set priorities and meet critical deadlines
· Cultivate relationships with the corporate and philanthropic community members, Board members, and other professional connections
· Meet and work with the Empowered Tutoring Management Team regarding development goals, projects and results
Travel: Travel about the Appleton / Oshkosh / Green Bay communities as needed (limited).
Work Location / Requirements: 32-40 hours per week (depending on experience). 8am-4pm.
