The position within DN Automotive USA Inc. (DN USA Tech Center) works as a single point of contact to customer engineers handling all project coordination and deliverables from initial competitive technical reviews, prototype development & tuning, through production tooling kick off and product launch support. The program manager will also work with program managers in global locations within DN group coordinating APQP activities during program execution. The focus will start out with Suspension parts, Bushings, Top Mount and Body Mounts, NVH related products. Responsibility of this role is 3 to 4 days attendance in office with in-person meetings and regular events.
What you’ll do
· Responsible for program execution as a program manager, overseeing all aspects of customer programs such as RFQ, development, timing, APQP activity, cost management, & production launch.
· Participate and lead PDT meetings with customers providing design solutions, action plans related to suspension bushing, body mount, and top mount, dampers, and other NVH related products.
· Attend regular meetings with DN counter partner and engineering team with DN group during program execution and manages open issues/action plans for customer.
· Communicate all program information efficiently with other DN Automotive operation groups.
· Assist in the preparation of new business, technical reviews, prepare technical presentation and deliver them to customer engineering team.
· Review all APQP documents with team members and participate GD&T review meeting and DFMEA/PFMEA review meeting customer
· Establish a strong working relationship with customer engineering team.
· Support and follow up on quality and warranty issues after launch providing analysis reports to customers.
What you’ll bring
· 4-year engineering degree preferably BSME.
· 10+ years working within Product Development, Product Design, or Applications Engineering roles in the automotive industry.
· 5+ years of experience:
o Developing chassis rubber-to-metal NVH products such as suspension bushings, body mounts, and mass dampers. Including familiarity with the design and development of both conventional and hydraulic components.
o Direct working experience with GM, Stellantis and Ford engineering is required and familiar with CN, EWO, and design change management customer system and process through RFQ to program launch phase.
o High level of experience of APQP documents, CP, DFMEA/PFMEA and ability to create APQP documents and review with customers.
· Candidate must have a strong working background in suspension bushings being familiar all facets of design, development, test, and customer integration. Both conventional and hydraulic products.
· Good written and verbal communication skills to act as the single point of contact with customer engineering.
· Excellent presentation skills presenting technical solutions and proposals.
· Strong computer skills within Microsoft operating systems and Office applications.
· Excellent understanding of 2-D drawings/GD&T and basic 3D CAD, UG NX/Catia model review.
· Expectation to support occasional overseas travel for product launch and business meeting and travel requirement is ~10%.
