Job Description

Program Manager – Substation Engineering

Start: Immediate

Duration: Through December

Location: Hybrid from Oakland, CA – onsite one day a week

W2 Pay Rate: $95.00 + all benefits

Position Summary:

Acts as a leader/liaison between client and our Substation Engineering Contractors. Provides planning, strategic analysis, and operational support. Facilitates, directs, and coordinates activities and special projects related to the execution of the Substation Owner's Engineering outsourced work portfolio.

Requirements:

  • Must have engineering or Utility Experience
  • Must have minimum 5 years of experience
  • Must have experience working closely with Sourcing and Contract Management on MSA’s and contracts
  • Must have experience leading cross-functional teams/projects
  • Must have experience supporting interactions with contractors to support the work plan portfolio.
  • Must have experience Supporting the organization in analyzing costs and making recommendations on cost reduction initiatives based on data.
  • Must have experience Analyzing work processes and make recommendations on how to integrate and improve processes.
  • Must be able to provide analysis for workload efficiency and make recommendations on future resource needs based on the data.
  • Must have experience forging relationships with all vendors and their leads
  • Maintain and enhance guidance to Owners Engineers, and Internal Engineers on dealing with Contractors
  • Must be able to conduct workload forecasting with the key stakeholders to provide our vendors with updates
  • Manage LAN ID’s and contractor Workforce
  • Must have experience Evaluating contractor performance based on established business metrics (project/program and portfolio level). Prioritizes issues and facilitates/takes corrective actions, as appropriate.
