Job Description
Role Summary
As the primary client contact, the Program Manager will ensure that delivered projects meet or exceed client expectations across all company practice areas; waste, climate, and energy. Program Manager will be supported by subject matter experts in the various practice areas. Program Manager may participate in the initial client sales process and will be responsible for identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships. A successful Program Manager will foster clients that become “raving fans” of Resource Synergy and promote our services to peers.
Role Description
- Engages with clients as primary point-of-contact.
- Coordinates the efforts of Analysts, Project Managers/Leads/Coordinators/Associates, and subject matter experts to ensure consistent, quality delivery across all projects for assigned clients.
- Prepares and delivers periodic client updates.
- Establishes a deep network of “partners” and “champions” throughout the client organization.
- Identifies synergies across multiple project types.
- Develops and manages project plan, budget, timeline.
- Coaches and leads project staff.
- Manages multiple, and sometimes competing, priorities.
- Will include multi-day travel.
- May present at industry events.
- Supported projects may include, waste service optimization, waste reduction design and implementation, and climate planning.
Role Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, environmental sciences, engineering, marketing, communications or a related field. (Equivalent experience will be considered in certain circumstances).
- Experience working with school districts, universities, businesses, property managers, tribes and other groups and organizations.
- Experience working within grant-funded programs .
- Must be comfortable engaging professionals in conversation with little to no introduction.
- Proven ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Ability to identify the need for, then draw upon, technical expertise when required.
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude necessary.
- Strong organizational, time management and leadership skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to deliver a high level of customer service.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, professional environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- 10+ years of relevant experience required.
