Job Title: Program Manager (with Procurement & Sales Focus)

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000

Established in 1981, Federal Industries, Inc. is a Small Business operating out of a 30,000 sq. ft. facility in El Segundo, California. We provide product design, manufacturing, testing, licensing, and after-market services to the aerospace and defense industry. Our experienced team is dedicated to delivering high-quality aircraft components and service to our customers, including major defense contractors and government agencies.

Position Overview
We are seeking a Program Manager with a strong background in procurement, sales planning, and supply chain coordination. This role requires someone who understands the nuances of customer and vendor relationships, is detail-oriented when it comes to quoting and ordering, and can keep projects on track while navigating challenges with professionalism and tact.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts and programs
• Manage and track RFQs from both vendors and customers
• Differentiate and manage Sales Orders vs. Purchase Orders
• Obtain pricing and lead times from vendors; prepare and issue quotes to customers
• Understand and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Run shortage reports to identify material gaps and proactively purchase parts to meet build schedules
• Monitor order status, production timelines, and delivery schedules to ensure on-time fulfillment
• Communicate delays, changes, and issues with professionalism and diplomacy
• Collaborate cross-functionally with purchasing, sales, and operations teams
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and data in internal systems

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. or U.S. permanent )
• Ability to work onsite at our El Segundo, CA location
• Associate degree or higher
• 3+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain planning, or program/account management
• Strong proficiency in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong understanding of the difference between customers and vendors, RFQs, sales vs. purchase orders
• Experience interacting with vendors to obtain pricing, negotiate terms, and place POs
• Ability to interpret BOMs and perform materials planning
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems to run reports and manage orders
• Excellent communication skills for managing vendors, customers, and internal teams
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying and solving problems
