Role Summary

The Associate Program Manager supports customer-facing programs by coordinating communication, tracking schedules, and managing project logistics across engineering, manufacturing, and operations. This role serves as a central point of organization and follow-through—ensuring customers stay informed and internal teams stay aligned.

This is an execution-focused role with clear ownership, defined escalation paths, and strong growth potential as the company scales.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Communication & Coordination

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for routine customer questions and updates

  • Track customer requests and ensure timely follow-up

  • Provide clear, professional status updates on schedules, builds, and deliveries

  • Escalate technical, schedule, or scope issues to leadership as needed

  • Coordinate customer meetings, reviews, and action items

Program & Schedule Tracking

  • Track active customer projects, milestones, and dependencies

  • Maintain project schedules and status reports

  • Follow up with internal teams to ensure tasks are progressing

  • Identify potential delays or risks early and flag them for resolution

Project Logistics Support

  • Coordinate project logistics including:

    • Prototype and production build schedules

    • Material availability and lead times

    • Shipping and delivery coordination

  • Interface with operations and manufacturing to support on-time delivery

  • Assist with documentation tracking and controlled releases where required

Internal Coordination

  • Act as a communication bridge between customers and internal teams

  • Capture action items, decisions, and next steps

  • Help reduce ad-hoc interruptions to engineering by organizing requests

What This Role Does Not Own

  • Pricing or contract negotiation

  • Final technical or architectural decisions

  • Scope or schedule commitments without leadership approval

  • Sales quotas or revenue targets

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3 years experience in project coordination, program support, operations, or a related role

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Comfortable working with technical teams (engineering, manufacturing, operations)

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Professional written communication (email, status updates, documentation)

Qualifications

  • Background or interest in aerospace, defense, electronics, or manufacturing

  • Experience with project tracking tools (Jira, Asana, Monday, spreadsheets, etc.)

  • Familiarity with hardware development or production environments

  • Veteran or defense-industry experience is a plus

Compensation

  • $70,000 – $95,000 base salary, depending on experience

  • Performance-based bonus potential tied to program execution and delivery
