We are seeking a passionate and mission-driven Women and Children's Center - Program Manager to help expand the impact of Shepherd’s House Ministries at our Women and Children's Center location and advance this life-changing work.
This position is responsible for providing a Christ-centered, safe, structured, grace-filled and transformational long-term recovery program where residents grow, heal, and transform spiritually, emotionally, and relationally. Staff operate at high health and alignment, and all program systems, schedules, finances, and activities run with excellence, integrity, and accountability.

- Collaborate in partnership with leadership, advisors and coworkers to contribute to and carry out the Women and Children's Center team’s strategy and goals.
Job Duties:
- Lead and model a Christ-centered, faith-based residential recovery program aligned with the organization’s mission.
- Provide spiritual leadership and oversight of recovery programming, curriculum, discipleship, and special events.
- Supervise, coach, and hold staff accountable through scheduling, performance management, and team leadership.
- Oversee care, safety, sobriety, crisis response, discipline, and restorative processes.
- Ensure program compliance, documentation, HIPAA standards, and accurate reporting.
- Manage facilities, operations, drug testing, logistics, and daily program schedules.
- Oversee budgets, expenditures, donations, and ethical financial stewardship.
- Collaborate with medical, mental health, churches, volunteers, and community partners.
- Represent the program with professionalism, humility, and grace.
- Pursue ongoing spiritual, professional, and leadership development.
- Compliance with SHM’s Employee Handbook and organizational policies.
- Attends all -staff meetings and trainings
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s in Ministry, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- 3–5 years in recovery programming, residential care, or nonprofit leadership
- Experience in staff supervision required
- Experience in financial stewardship and budget oversight
- Training in trauma-informed care, recovery methods, biblical counseling, or similar methodologies strongly valued
Spiritual & Professional Qualities:
- Ability to remain flexible and adapt well.
- Work well in a team environment and be able to accept input as well as supervisory guidance.
- Able and willing to interact with shelter guests in a compassionate and respectful manner.
- Knowledgeable and empathetic to the needs of the poor and suffering.
- Able to maintain a positive, professional, Christ-like manner with all donors, staff, guests, and volunteers.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to remain calm and responsive during crises or emotionally intense situations.
- Ability to work in a residential recovery environment and maintain effectiveness amid emotional or behavioral stressors.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally as required for program needs.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout a residential facility for extended periods, including stairs and outdoor areas.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while performing administrative and supervisory duties.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs as needed for facility oversight and support.
- Ability to use standard office equipment and technology, including computers and phones.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and to hear, see, and respond appropriately to people, alarms, and emergency situations.
