About the Role
MBDA Incorporated is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex defense programs in alignment with technical performance, contractual commitments, and customer expectations. This role is responsible for end-to-end program leadershipcost, schedule, technical performance, risk, and customer engagementwhile coordinating with U.S. Government stakeholders and MBDA affiliates in the UK and Europe.
Responsibilities
- Manage project teams to meet the technical, quality, cost and schedule requirements of a project within the framework of the contract and MBDA Incorporated site policies & procedures.
- Capable of leading a standalone project or manage elements of a larger program.
- Prepare Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Statement of Work (SOW), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Project Management Plans to establish a project baseline that sets the foundation to accomplish project objectives within cost, schedule, technical and quality objectives.
- Setup, and manage projects using approved Project Management methodologies and tools to successfully complete project objectives.
- Review project achievement and forecast against project baseline to forecast schedule and cost at completion.
- Implement Risk Management plan to manage project technical, cost, schedule and quality risks
- Monitor project status for early identification of potential issues and develop corrective/preventative/root cause action plans.
- Communicate Project Status including cost and schedule reports to company management on a regular basis.
- Coordinate project management activities and information with MBDA affiliate companies in Great Britain and Europe. Build and maintain effective international working relationships.
- Coordinate project reviews and other events with customers and company management. Build and maintain effective customer relationships.
- Ensure program plans and status and contract deliverables are effectively communicated and delivered to customers and company management.
- Support new business development by developing a WBS, SOW, and IMS for projects that will be proposed. Also work with new business development to lead or assist with proposal efforts.
Experience and Skills
- Proven credibility working with Government and military counterparts.
- Experience leading cross-functional efforts and managing projects.
- Strategic thinker with experience in planning, execution, and budget management.
- Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
- Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Risk Management
- Cost Estimation and Pricing experience
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in a Business, Engineering or Science concentration
- Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in Aerospace and Defense including 5 years of relevant project management experience.
- Ability to travel up to 25%
