Job Description
Program Manager
Surface Mount Technology Corporation (SMT) is an execution-focused Electronics Manufacturing Services provider supporting customers with complex, custom electronics. We operate as an execution partner, not a transactional manufacturer.
This is a full-time, on-site role in Appleton, WI. The Program Manager is the primary point of contact between SMT and assigned customers and is responsible for customer satisfaction and execution from the customer’s perspective.
Program Managers at SMT are internal coordinators and external translators. They bring the right internal teams together, communicate clearly and credibly with customers, and keep execution moving as plans change.
Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary customer contact for assigned accounts
• Build strong, trusted customer relationships
• Coordinate execution across Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Planning
• Manage customer orders, PO alignment, and execution flow
• Communicate schedule status, risks, and changes clearly and early
• Coordinate customer-requested changes by gathering internal impact and responding with clarity
• Support launches, ramps, and ongoing production
• Track execution against budgeted sales by assembly and customer
• Identify growth opportunities within existing customers
• Escalate issues when they move beyond defined guardrails
Qualifications
• Experience in EMS or a manufacturing environment
• Comfortable working directly with customers
• Strong communication and judgment under pressure
• Ability to coordinate across multiple teams
• Organized, accountable, and execution-focused
4 year Degree ; relevant industry experience matters most.
