PROGRAM MANAGER
The Program Manager for the Alaska Energy Authority’s Rural Programs - Manages the Alaska Energy Authority’s renewable energy and energy efficiency (REEE), programs, and projects under the general guidance of the Department Director. Provides support and guidance to internal staff and external stakeholders on energy technology and provides technical assistance in developing grant applications for funding opportunities. Manages the planning, design, and construction of energy projects throughout Alaska. Program management at this level is complex and diverse, requiring in-depth knowledge of the agency programs a good working relationship with upper management. This position exercises independent judgment on matters of significance regarding AEA’s REEE programs.
We’re looking for someone who has a Bachelor's degree and advanced training in engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in project/program management and construction. “Strong” preference will be given to candidates with a professional engineering license in the State of Alaska. Preference will be given to candidates that are currently certified as Project Management Professionals (PMP).
