The Program Manager serves as the Lead Perinatal Mood Disorder Specialist and supervises assigned PWISJ staff, ensuring adherence to PWISJ standards, practices, policies, and procedures. The Program Manager ensures that the team: provides comprehensive support services to birthing individuals who may be at higher risk for developing anxiety and depression during and postpartum; works collaboratively with healthcare providers, hospitals, and community agencies; facilitates group support; and provides professional and community outreach education throughout the Southern New Jersey region.


Essential Functions:

Contribute to The Cooperative’s commitment to equity and continuous quality improvement that align with the agency’s mission, goals, and advancement. * Effectively cross-collaborate with agency staff, leaders, and board members to foster a comprehensive approach of information sharing, working committees, and collective representation. * Routinely disseminate relevant information, presentations, trainings, and learning opportunities for internal program and agency staff. * When applicable, will participate in relevant staff development opportunities (trainings, summits, conferences, etc.) to increase skill development, elevate program goals, and engage staff members with timely key learnings. * Supervises PWISJ staff, with input from the Associate Director. * Approves and signs off on monthly expense reports, bi-weekly time sheets, and PTO requests. * Completes staff performance reviews for the evaluation process with input from Associate Director. * Facilitates client assignments for the PWISJ team. * Coordinates for new PWISJ staff. * Coordinates staff education, training and the implementation of new program directives, with the Associate Director. * Conducts quality reviews including review of documentation. * Compiles data for reports, completes reports and submits to the Associate Director. * Works collaboratively with Healthcare Provider screening locations, under the direction of the Associate Director, to ensure successful outcomes for screening compliance at new/existing locations. * Assists in promoting the model of support that can be sustainable to meet the needs of birthing individuals. * Coordinates and delivers professional education and consumer outreach activities in the community, hospitals, and agencies working collaboratively with PWISJ health educator. * Coordinates and delivers group support and identifies additional needs for the region. * Maintains limited client caseload as needed. * Represents PWISJ on The Cooperative and NJDOH committees/meetings and Task Forces as directed by Associate Director. * Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree and licensure in social work, counseling, nursing or other health-related field required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Organizational skills, problem solving skills with ability to prioritize work requirements.
  • Must present in a professional manner and be able to engage with a wide range of clients and professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member with good leadership, oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, current insurance policy, and car.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to see to read documents and hear well enough to communicate with others.
  • Must be able to write, type on a computer, and use a telephone.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Additional requirements to be determined with input from Director and HR.

Work Environment:

Travels regularly to sites where traffic, weather, and other environmental conditions may be encountered; otherwise works in a climate-controlled professional office environment generally free from hazards and other adverse working conditions.
