Immediate Position

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The company is seeking a deputy or junior level Project Manager that they can grow into a full time Program Manager, able to manage multiple programs in the future. You’ll join our dynamic small company where you'll have the opportunity to make a direct impact on our aerospace programs. Core Focus:
Plan and manage the development and delivery of customer SRDLs (System Requirements Documents and Specifications), design reviews, program planning and schedules.

These are the principal tasks that would need to be planned and managed. All of this will have to be documented and presented to the customer.
• The majority of the work will be to replace obsolete computer systems and monitors with new supportable hardware.
• The software will have to be re-hosted onto the new hardware.
• The approach will have to be communicated in design reviews and then implemented and tested.
• The majority of the project involves software tasks and customer reporting…SDRLs, design reviews and document updates.


KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Program Planning & Execution: Lead comprehensive program planning from inception through delivery, including development of baseline schedules and milestone definition
• Customer Deliverables Management: Oversee the development and timely delivery of customer SRDLs, ensuring all specifications and requirements are met
• Design Review Coordination: Plan, organize, and facilitate critical design reviews throughout the program lifecycle
• Schedule Management: Develop and maintain detailed program schedules, tracking performance against baselines and managing Expected Time to Complete (ETC)
• Contract & Scope Management: Provide expert knowledge of contract content and statement of work requirements
• Customer Relations: Function as the company's primary customer program representative, ensuring quality requirements are met or exceeded
• Issue Resolution: Proactively identify program issues and lead resolution processes

• Some engineering background because they will be interfacing with engineers.
• Preference would be a Systems engineer that has some experience as an associate PM or an actual PM. (NOT I.T.)
• Experience successfully either having led or been part of a team that has done similar work.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Program Management, Engineering, or related degree + 4-5 years experience, OR 5-7 years of direct Program Manager experience.
  • Our client is considering candidates with the relevant Bachelor of Science degree and Deputy or Junior level of related experience.
  • Technical background in aerospace industry highly desirable
  • Experience in Engineering (Design, Systems, and Manufacturing) IS REQUIRED.
  • IT Project Management experience is not applicable for this position. !!!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Position may require travel both domestic and international
• Anticipated pay rate: $50 - $55/hr.
• Contract to permanent likely
