Position Title: Treatment Home Director
Pay: $70,000 annually
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; evening and weekend coverage as needed
Location: On-site with travel required
Requirements: Valid driver’s license required

Position Summary
The Treatment Home Director provides leadership and oversight for the Treatment Home Program, including Community Care for Kids, Project Discovery, Flex programs, and other assigned initiatives. This role is responsible for program philosophy and approach, maintaining and increasing census, program growth and development, clinical outcomes, staff supervision, productivity standards, budgeting, licensing and regulatory compliance, and community and funding source engagement. The Director serves as a key representative of the program within the community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide overall supervision and operational oversight for Treatment Home IOS and Flex programs.
- Ensure census goals are met or exceeded; collaborate with leadership on program growth opportunities.
- Monitor program fidelity, outcomes, and service intensity. Ensure staff receive appropriate clinical supervision to maintain clinical quality and medical necessity.
- Attend ISP meetings, county-level meetings, and alliance meetings as required.
- Hire, supervise, and support the Treatment Home Supervisor, Treatment Home Coordinator, and additional staff as needed.
- Oversee recruitment, training, licensing, and retention of Treatment Home parents; provide guidance and crisis support as needed.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of Levels of Service (LOS), Treatment Parent reimbursements, and required reports.
- Collaborate with Care Management Organizations (CMOs), clinicians, schools, medical providers, and other community partners.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including Medicaid, CSOC, licensing requirements, agency policies, and Council on Accreditation standards; serve as liaison during audits and inspections.
- Monitor documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with billing and service authorization requirements.
- Conduct periodic home visits to ensure compliance and quality of care.
- Promote a culture of ethical practice, accountability, and trauma-informed care.
- Oversee on-call systems, emergency response, and coordination of higher levels of care when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related human services field , with appropriate clinical licensure.
- Bachelor’s degree with significant foster care experience may be considered in lieu of a master’s degree.
Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years working with at-risk youth and families.
- At least one (1) year of supervisory or management experience in an out-of-home treatment setting, preferably foster care.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care and youth development.
- Familiarity with NJ CSOC, Medicaid-funded services, and Child Family Team models.
- Ability to supervise, coach, and support clinical staff and Treatment Home parents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and crisis management abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated flexibility and initiative.
Work Environment and Expectations
- Combination of office-based, community-based, and in-home work.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilities as needed.
- Adherence to confidentiality, ethical standards, and professional conduct at all times.
