Wraparound Program Director

Summary

The Wraparound Program Director providers overall leadership and management for the Wraparound Program in accordance with Magellan of Louisiana, Coordinated System of Care (CSoC) and Medicaid. This position ensures that wraparound services are delivered with fidelity to the Wraparound Initiative (NWI) model, and comply with federal, state, and local requirements. The Wraparound Program Director oversees program staffing, quality assurance, partner coordination, and reporting. This role provides administrative and programmatic oversight to all the operations of the wraparound program. The Wraparound Program Director reports to the Director of Wraparound Services.

Essential Functions

  • Lead implementation of WAA services in alignment with CSoC, Magellan, OBH, and NWI standards.
  • Implement staff training and development programs, and evaluate staff growth plans and development.
  • Lead program performance and quality improvement initiatives and processes.
  • Implement policies and procedures to ensure effective operations of the program.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Advisory Council ensuring active representation of Wraparound Services and engagement of council members.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts and correction actions plans as needed.
  • Develop and sustain collaborative partnerships with community-based organizations, service providers, and referral sources.
  • Ensure that the Wraparound Community Resource Specialist maintains an updated inventory of resources.
  • Collaborate with the VOASCLA Finance Department and leadership to prepare program budgets.
  • Participate in recruitment, selection, performance management, and retention efforts for program; Ensure program has sufficient staffing to provide adequate client coverage.
  • Implement approved policies and objectives to ensure effective operation, including action follow-up to audits for compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Report measures regarding program delivery and outcomes; distribute as needed to Leadership.
  • Engage in referral development and related activities to ensure program maintains census targets.
  • Ensure program purchases are made and approved according to VOASCLA policies and procedures; ensure program/facility stays within allocated budget.
  • Ensure integrity of administrative documents and records, case management reports and treatment plans, exit information, testing and evaluation data, and other documentation necessary to complete program and risk management.
  • Direct program growth and transformation activities to ensure stability of services as a provider of for referring and contracting agencies.
  • Models CSoC values and encourages and trains supervisors and staff to use these values and wraparound principles in working with stakeholders, provider agencies, and families.
  • Maintains positive working relationships with key community agencies and stakeholders, including serving on local advisory boards and committees.
  • Maintain confidentiality as it pertains to all aspects of clients’ care, staff, and VOASCLA.

Supervisory Responsibility

The Wraparound Program Director directly oversees the Community Resource Specialist, Lead Wraparound Coach/Trainer, and Lead Supervisor. Supervises, directs, motivates and evaluates performance of program leadership and immediate subordinates.

Required Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in human services or related field is required (e.g. social work, counseling, psychology, public health, public administration) ; Licensed Mental Health Professional .
  • Minimum of five (5) years of full-time experience in child, youth, or family services, with at least three (3) years in program management or leadership.
  • Experience with wraparound, quality assurance, accreditation processes, and compliance management is strongly .

Other Requirements

  • Maintain a valid Louisiana driver’s license

  • Participate in training and development activities as required.
  • Report any acts, incidents or conditions that reflect the possibility of inappropriate participant-to-participant or staff-to-participant relationships.
  • Report any use of physical force and all unusual incidents per VOASCLA policy and state guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
