SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Plans, organizes, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates the services of programs and contracts assigned. Under the supervision of the Island Director of Programs, the Program Director provides supervision to the following programs: Domestic Violence Services for Families (DVSF), Abuse Treatment Services (SATS), and Alternatives to Violence (ATV) staff as assigned in program operations and monitors case coordination to ensure effective services designated. Assumes designated administrative tasks.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

• Masters' Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. Requires knowledge of an advanced type.
• Other: Prefer studies in Human Services or Social Work or Counseling

EXPERIENCE

• Over two years, up to and including four years.
• Other: 3 years in clinical setting for Master’s degree

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Knowledge of area of program concentration. Early childhood experience is desirable

OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• This job requires a valid Hawaii driver's license, a clear driver's abstract, and willingness to travel in personal vehicle on an as-needed basis throughout the island.
• This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and continued employment is contingent on a record clear of convictions
• Continued employment in this position is contingent on successful completion of CPI classes OR other Behavioral Management certification as may be contract mandated
• Continued employment in this position is contingent on successful completion of First Aid classes
