About the RoleCaptivateIQ’s Professional Services team is expanding our Accounting & Reporting practice — the group responsible for designing the financial reporting layer that connects incentive compensation data to our customers’ accounting systems.
We’re looking for a Senior Professional Services Consultant, Accounting & Compliance Reporting — a seasoned financial modeling and reporting expert who can translate accounting standards into scalable, automated solutions. You’ll serve as both the technical SME for data modeling and the accounting SME for compliance reporting under ASC 340, ASC 606, and IFRS 15.
Job LocationThe candidate selected for this opportunity must reside near one of the following locations:
Hybrid (in-office 3 days per week)- Austin, TX
Remote- Raleigh, NC- Nashville, TN- Toronto, CanadaResponsibilities

  • Architect and oversee the design, build, and validation of all financial reports and dashboards for complex sales compensation system projects, with a deep focus on ASC 606 reporting compliance and data integrity.
  • Maintain end-to-end ownership of financial reporting model quality, performance, and long-term hygiene.
  • Act as senior escalation point for accounting- and reporting-related projects, guiding consultants toward scalable, compliant solutions.
  • Develop and maintain best practices within CaptivateIQ for commission capitalization and amortization under ASC 340, ASC 606, and IFRS 15.
  • Translate unique customer reporting, dashboard, and accounting compliance requirements into efficient, repeatable system configurations for data output and reporting.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Sales, and Customer Success on priorities and delivery of financial data outputs.
  • Contribute to the team by developing best practices, templates, and standards to raise reporting quality across the organization, including mentoring junior team members.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in financial modeling, data integrity, or reporting within sales compensation, ERP, or financial systems.
  • Background in accounting or finance. Nice to have: a focus on sales compensation accounting and financial modeling. Accounting certification, training, or formal education .
  • Expert knowledge of ASC 340, ASC 606, or IFRS 15 related to commission capitalization, amortization, and sales compensation accounting structures.
  • Proven customer-facing consulting/implementation experience across project phases related to requirements gathering, solution design, launch, and support of financial reporting components.
  • Expert-level Excel modeling for large datasets; demonstrated strong data intuition and model hygiene for financial reporting.
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and customer-obsessed; thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

Nice to Have

  • CPA license 
  • Experience with CaptivateIQ or other related SPM platforms (e.g., SAP Commissions, Xactly Incent, Varicent).
  • Proficiency with CRM/ERP/subscription platforms (Salesforce, NetSuite, Zuora).
  • Familiarity with SQL/Python for data prep/analysis and structured problem-solving (no heavy coding required).
  • Background in financial operations/planning (FP&A), system implementation, solutions architecture/engineering, or technology consulting.

The OTE range in USD represents the minimum and maximum for this position across North America. The OTE offered for this position will depend on numerous factors, including individual proficiency, anticipated performance, and the location of the selected candidate.
