Position Specific Description

This position sits within the Power Division which is responsible for all NextEra Energy's non-nuclear operations. This is a multi-craft position that operates and maintains plant equipment. The plant is located in Pensacola, Florida. craft Instrumentation and Controls.

Job Overview

Position performs power plant operations as well as maintenance on station equipment. Job will include other miscellaneous duties as assigned to include water chemistry and environmental compliance activities. This position will be required to work on a 12-hr. rotating shift including nightshifts, weekends and holidays and respond to off-hour callouts when needed.

Required Qualification

Must obtain outside/inside operation qualifications

A candidate possesses Journeyman level qualification specific to the craft discipline specified in the Position Specific Description as an Industrial Electrician, Journeyman I&C, or Journeyman Mechanic, or a candidate can hold an Associate degree that directly applies to Power

Must obtain the basic craft of the discipline specified in the Position Specific Description section if entering classification with a relevant Associate degree in addition to outside/inside qualification operation qualification

High School Diploma / GED

Pass the POSS & MASS tests

Qualification

3-5 years Industrial experience in the craft discipline specified in the Position Specific Description section
