Job Summary: As a Production Support Engineer, you’ll provide mechanical engineering services in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You’ll support plant maintenance teams and ensure the efficient service of production machinery, equipment, utilities, and facilities—all while focusing on production uptime and metric improvements.
This is a full-time onsite position located in West Caldwell, NJ
- This role supports our 1st shift starting between 7:00am to 9:00am for 8 working hours Monday through Friday
- Some on-call required
What You Will Do:
- Spend days "on the floor" troubleshooting and resolving production issues to manufacturing maintain continuity.
- Support spare parts management, procurement, and inventory.
- Lead small equipment improvement projects and vendor evaluations.
- Write and execute GMP documentation including SOPs, CAPAs, and Change Controls.
- Support maintenance planning and preventive calibration.
- Maintain engineering documentation and technical libraries.
- Serve as a subject matter expert across various manufacturing systems.
- Promote teamwork and serve as a key technical representative.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or packaging
- Strong customer service
- Strong mechanical and mathematical skills.
- Basic computer and communication skills.
- Ability to wear required PPE and lift up to 24 lbs.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Minitab/AutoCAD helpful.
- Ability to visualize and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Experience integrating new innovations into existing methods.
- Knowledge of GMP protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Strong documentation and organizational abilities.
- Leadership and collaboration across global teams.
