Job Description

We are seeking a Fabrication Supervisor to become a key member of our core team! Carolina Awning Inc. serves both the commercial and residential industries. 

We are looking for someone who can manage our in-house production teams. Properly prioritizing projects and aligning various departments to ensure we are maximizing output while consistently delivery top quality. This role will be responsible for inventory management, will take part in cross function meetings to ensure we are meeting both internal and external customer expectations. This role will be hands on with fabrication and powder coating as needed and also work through problem solving issues when necessary.

Fabrication and Installation Supervisor Responsibilities

· Drive daily process and business improvements through optimizing production and information flow

· Coordination of multiple production team members ensuring proper execution of jobs in a timely manner, with a focus on safety, quality, and output. 

· Create production schedules to align with business monthly objectives

· Problem solve production and installation challenges, assign tasks with appropriate follow    through

· Review and communicate shop floor and engineering drawings ensuring team understanding

· Supervise and drive efficiencies of received material as well as kitting of finished goods

·· Periodically visit job sites as needed 

· Participate in cross functional meetings as necessary

· Manage over time, tooling, and equipment required for production and installation, while maintaining inventory stock levels

· Drive recruiting/hiring activities for positions within production departments

· Enforcement of company policies

Production Supervisor Requirements

· Excellent organizational and leadership skills

· Have a strong work ethic & attention to detail

· Problem-solving abilities

· Ability to effectively prioritize, follow up, and successfully implement key activities

· Ability to communicate and report effectively

· Must be a team player

· Construction experience is , but not required

· Experience with aluminum fabrication and welding required

· Microsoft Excel and Word skills required
