We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Production Manager to support daily operations in our plastic manufacturing facility. This role will work closely with the Production Manager to oversee injection molding processes, ensure production targets are met, and maintain high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring daily production activities across multiple injection molding machines.

• Supervise production staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.

• Monitor production schedules, machine efficiency, and labor utilization to meet output goals.

• Support process optimization initiatives to reduce downtime, scrap, and cycle times.

• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to resolve equipment or process issues.

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and industry standards.

• Track and report key production metrics, identifying trends and recommending improvements.

• Assist with workforce scheduling, job assignments, and resource allocation.

• Contribute to continuous improvement projects and lean manufacturing initiatives.

• Act as a backup for the Production Manager in their absence.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in plastic manufacturing, with knowledge of injection molding processes.

• Prior supervisory or team lead experience in a production environment.

• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Proficiency in production management systems, ERP/MRP, and Microsoft Office.

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
