Job Title: Production Supervisor (Blending & Packaging Operations)
Location: LaVergne, TN
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Employment Type: Full-Time, Salaried
Salary: $70-85/K/yr
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Production Supervisor to oversee blending and packaging operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for leading a team of 20–30 production associates and technicians across multiple shifts, ensuring production schedules are met, safety and quality standards are maintained, and continuous improvement practices are applied.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage daily and weekly production schedules for blending and pouch filling lines.
- Monitor shift performance to ensure efficiency, output, and quality goals are achieved.
- Lead, coach, and mentor production associates while conducting performance reviews.
- Support cross-training and skill development to enhance team flexibility.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies.
- Oversee SOP development, revisions, and deployment to ensure standardized practices.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, SQF, FDA, and ISO quality standards.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to support readiness and efficiency.
- Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing policies, PPE use, and incident reporting.
- Maintain accurate production records, batch documentation, and logs.
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of supervisory experience in food, nutraceutical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of powder blending and pouch packaging operations.
- Proficiency with Lean manufacturing tools (Kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping, root cause analysis).
- Experience creating and deploying SOPs across production teams.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for planning, inventory, and batch control.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage cross-shift operations.
- Knowledge of GMP, SQF, FDA, or ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a plus.
